I've been going here since 2014, Dr. Mathew has been really great and caring. The office is very neat and has been keeping up with covid precautions which helped me feel safe and comfortable to come in during this pandemic.

Love this dental office! I’ve been going for years and always have a wonderful experience.
I had a crown fall off and it had to be replaced. The team at Dove Dental got me in quickly for a temporary crown and a short-time later in for a new crown. As a Senior, I appreciated the patience and extra care they extended to me. I am very happy with my new crown and the very positive experience I had at Dove Dental.

I have had nothing but great experiences. Everyone is super pleasant and professional. They don’t rush you, they’ll answer any and all questions. They also don’t make you wait forever like most places. I got there 15 min early and they saw me immediately. Highly recommend!
I love Dr. Amy (that's what I call her) and Ora. Ms. Ora is the sweetest she was only teasing that other reviewer. They are fast, GENTLE, and patient. I was so afraid at my first appointment but now I trust them and don't worry at all. I have told anyone complaining about a tooth to call. You should too!
Dr. Mathew and her staff are great. The office is clean, has modern equipment and televisions in some of the treatment room's great for a little distraction while they do their work. Spot on estimates, and they handled all the insurance paperwork making it a breeze.
First off I hate going to the dentist, which is obvious by the poor condition of my teeth. Dr. Amy has done many extractions for me and fitted me with a new upper denture and a partial for the lower. I have never been made to feel guilty or reprimanded for the condition of my teeth (part of the reason I was afraid to go). They are professional, friendly and I do feel like family. I can't praise them enough.

I’ve been going to Dove Dental for about two years and I’ve always had a really good experience with them. I was hesitant about going to the dentist during a pandemic but I thought they did a great job trying to keep patients and staff safe. They checked my temperature when I came in and immediately had me was my hands and swish my mouth with a solution of peroxide and water to kill germs in my mouth. I felt really safe and comfortable getting my teeth cleaned and checked there even during the pandemic. I would highly recommend Dove Dental!
My overall experience wasn’t bad. However, I needed my wisdom teeth pulled and I had to go to another facility for the surgery. Well the facility I went to was amazing and thorough. They told me things dove dental never even mentioned. I had been going to them for 3 years for my annual check ups thinking everything was fine with my teeth. Come to find out, I have bone loss in my teeth. They never performered my comprehensive exam for thorough X-rays, which is covered by my insurance. The staff is nice but please ensure you receiving the right information when it comes to your teeth.
I was seen by this dentist for the pulling of upper's in May 2024, and this dentist broke my gum bone without even mentioning it was broken, when my teeth was pulled. As I arrived back to the office in late May, I was informed after receiving partials that was made too big, and had sores in my gums, and I could not properly chew. Then, I was informed a bone in my gums was broken by her assistance after calling the office because of problems with my new dentures. I was offered to get a refund on the dentures but this is my 2nd round of a bad dentist that have caused me more problems than it is worth. As I mentioned to her assistance, "That all I wanted and expecting was good service and a job well done." I even requested my old X Rays this day and was refused them by the Dr, who only talked about my return visit in Dec 2024 for my permanent partials.The Dr was in the office, approached me at the last minute upon leaving, and never once explained that a bone was broken during her procedure or during my last visit with her assistance. I called to schedule an X Ray to determine how much damage her procedure caused me. I also reported the situation to the insurance company, but now I am in retirement. I am expecting a discount on the X Ray at least but I have not heard anything yet. I didn't find the receptionist as friendly as most people have posted. She always wanted to scheduled me on the 13th of the month, I have noticed. I also noticed that candles were constantly burning in the office and wondered why? I did had my doubts at the beginning of the office visit, but I hoped it was a fragment of my imagination since I have had bad experiences in the past & I also had dentist fears in which I had listed in my dental paperwork. This experience has not helped at all going forward in seeing other dentists. On August 14, I saw the Dr. again to have a X Ray done. I received a call on 8/13/24 to bring someone into the office with me. I told the receptionist, there was no one, and I may find someone along the way. I was even willing to pay a homeless person in the area, but found none decent in appearance. When I went into the office early morning, 1st I was given the "evil eye" from the receptionist. I thought to myself, "What have I done to her"? Then again by the other staff, but it wasn't as powerful. The Dr. requested that I remove my negative post, but it was truthful & I expressed what was told to me by her assistant. Then, she stated that I had misunderstood what the assistant stated. How can one misinderstand that a bone was broken, and it will take longer to heal? May 2024, I just graduated from school in "Business Management/Cyber Security. I also was an "A" student. I did not misunderstood the conversation, and the assistant never said a word about our conversation, while there in the room that day. I did not speak any lies.
The office staff is friendly and Dr. Matthew has acceptable bedside manner. The main issue is that they do not bill correctly. My family has had multiple issues with being billed for services we did not receive. They billed for x-rays when none were performed and now going to a new dentist, our insurance is denying payment because the images were already taken. They also continue to insist that a social security number is required for insurance payment when our insurance company confirms this is not true - our new dentist had no issues with finding coverage without it. I understand insurance reimbursement amounts are not great, however, this is just wrong. Choose a different dentist for care. My family did.
I had a pretty bad experience at this office... For starters, I was yelled at by the receptionist for mistakingly my giving her my medical insurance card. (This is my first time going to the dentist without my mom making an appointment). After that was cleared up, I was taken back and began with my cleaning. That was fine..no complaints there really. Just an awkward vibe. Then, my dentist (Amy Mathew) came in and basically told me a whole bunch was wrong, I need x amount of teeth taken out, x amount of fillings, wrote some referrals, and sent me on my way. Before I left I let the hygienist know that I didn’t feel like things were explained to me, then she just continued to look at me, so I finally left. It was so uncomfortable. I’m not really sure why I was treated that way..but it was just a horrible way to feel leaving the dentist. A place that already isn’t a fun place to be for many. I did go back in about 10 minutes later because I didn’t want to leave and not fully understand what I needed done. The same lady that yelled at me earlier, then went through and explained to me what each referral I got was for and the things they recommended. I will never return to this office however.
Beware before going here if you don't have an insurace, these guys are not at all honest. Never seen anyone taking $100 for an X-ray and consultant.

I am a Senior Citizen without dental insurance and Dr. Amy worked with me on a discounted rate that I appreciate very much. Dr Amy and her staff are very compassionate and provide excellent care.

So i was referred to Dove Dental , and i had my first visit , and my first visit was actually very nice, it was my consultation day. Today i had my work done . And let me tell y'all, i really believe I've found my dentist. The employees are so sweet and nice , the receptionist is so nice and patient . And the Doctor is soooooooo amazing . She funny and sweet. I hate getting shots and she made me feel so comfortable , made me feel better she even got me a blanket because i was cold. I believe she was also training and she was very nice to her trainee , they worked well and fast together . I wish i could've taped a video so i could watch them work . But i love it here , i will come back . Very very good people and she did an amazing job . Great hospitality. Very Very Clean as well.

oday I went to Dove dental specialists as a new client. I had gone to the same dentist my entire life so to say I was nervous would be an understatement. The entire staff was very nice and efficient especially during covid times. Dr. Mathew was a gem- she was sweet, non judge mental, and friendly. She performed a very thorough exam then did my dental cleaning because she likes to get to know new clients. She didn't offer me any expensive treatments and gave me advice on how to improve my dental health. 10/10 recommend this dental office.
This is hands down the best Dentist office / Dentist I have ever been to! I have always had a fear of the dentist but finding Dr Amy and her staff was such a relief! Dr Amy and her dental assistant were both so kind, patient, professional and genuinely took time to understand how I was feeling and explain what they were doing. The office has also been very flexible in terms of appointment times, which had been very helpful!
Dr. Mathew and her team are exceptional! She has been my go to Dentist for years, and the service here is amazing. Dr. Mathew is professional, knowledgeable, and is truly passionate about what she does! After every visit you get a great little bag with quality items to keep up with your oral hygiene. Always a plus!
I highly recommend Dr. Amy Matthews at Dove Dental .Not only is her dental hygienist outstanding but they went above and beyond in their safety practices. I felt very safe there. Dr. Matthews is an excellent dentist as well.
I went here after having a problem at another nearby dentist. At the other office they did an exam which left me hurting for 2 days and then recommended expensive dental scaling which my insurance wouldn't cover. At Dr. Amy's office the hygienist was wonderful and did a great job with the cleaning and then Dr. Amy came in and we talked through my other experience and she completely agreed that their recommendation was unnecessary. It was just a very pleasant and painless experience and I will definitely go back.
Pros: patient, kind and wonderful professional staff who are highly skilled and have a great sense of humor! Cons: I wish they could come with me wherever I move to (so no cons actually) BOTTOM LINE: if you need a dentist in the Atlanta area, visit Dove dental specialists I have been with Dr. Amy Mathew for over a year now and she and the entire group are absolutely fantastic! The receptionists greet you with a welcome and jovial smile, and very efficiently get you into the office. They send out reminders and phone calls for your appointments and are super helpful (I forgot my appointment times several times and also got lost getting to the office and they guided me back with patience and understanding). The office and equipment is all new, clean and state of the art. The hygienists who cleaned my teeth were so fast but gentle! I usually went before work and can be in and out in 30-40 minutes max. Dr. Mathew herself is so personal and skilled. I had several teeth that had the enamel rubbed off because I brushed too hard. With another dentist, I was recommended a full frontal treatment that would've easily cost $1000. Dr Mathew assessed it and only treated two, which was all covered by insurance. She said she liked a more conservative approach and monitored me through the year. And now they are totally fine. And yes, she does come to check you even if you go for cleanings. Toothpaste, toothbrush, floss and mouthwash are included. I've had braces and oral surgery in the past, so have had a lot of dentists and orthodontists, and Dr. Mathew and her team are definitely one of the best groups. Thank you, Dove Dental Specialists!
I've been a patient with them since I moved from New Jersey 2 years ago and highly recommend them!! Front office staff is great.. They went out of their way to treat you like a first class patient! Dr. Amy was very professional and very personable.. She has my vote for best dentist in Atlanta!!
I am new to Atlanta. I had a bad experience at a different dentist's office in Midtown, so I decided to try Dove Dental in Decatur. I am so glad I found this practice. Everyone is so friendly. The waiting area was small and a bit cramped, but I didn't mind, because everything else about this office is wonderful. The hygienist was gentle and answered all my questions, and the dentist seemed to genuinely care about my dental health. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this practice to anyone in Atlanta.
On a recent trip to Georgia, I had what looked like a tooth fall out during a meal. I was very concerned and was looking for a local office to help with my dental emergency. The receptionist I talked to at Dove Dental was very reassuring and was able to fit me in on the same day. Once I got to the office, the friendly/knowledgeable staff was very comforting and had me ready for the doctor rather quickly. Dr. Mathew went over with me what had happened (I had a crown put in about 15 years ago that should have been replaced). She showed me on the X-ray how a hole in the old crown was affecting my gums and nearby teeth and also came up with a treatment plan for me to prevent further damage. She put in a temporary crown for me until I was able to get home. Even though she knew I was from out of town her knowledge and time spent going over everything with me was highly appreciated. Sadly I did need to return to California, but I recommend this office and doctor to anyone in the area.

I'm sort of a freak when it comes to finding new providers. I scour the internet for reviews and check the boards to make sure my provider is legit. Dr. Mathew was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and personable like my previous dentist. She took great care cleaning my teeth. My husband had a very similar experience when he went to her the following week. You can tell her patients love coming here because you can hear them chat with the front office like they're long time friends. The office manager is hilarious.
The dental care here was good but the customer service was not. I'm the type of person that gets consistent dental care the most serious procedures I've had are fillings and wisdom teeth removal. Ive been to dentists in 3 different states and, based on the reviews, I'd thought I'd give this office a try. Due to relocations for my finances job I'm not on my own insurance but his. We saw separate dentists in our last state and there was no trouble locating our insurance via my social security number. It started when I called and I inquired about insurance verification. I was told that I just needed to make sure my insurance said PPO and it does. We also have additional supplemental dental insurance. We never received a card for this but, as I mentioned, my last dentist had no problem. I insisted that they look under my social security number but she refused and said that since I wasn't the primary it wouldn't be under mine. If that's true I'm not sure how my last dentist located it that way. We are now receiving statements showing that I wasn't found and I'm guessing that's because my social security number wasn't used. Ultimately I'm not unhappy that it wasn't simple or handled how I insisted but the poor attitude I received. I've also been to offices that have been more technologically advanced and cleaner. These are things I could have over looked but the customer service ruined it for me. We will not go back to this dentist.

I decided to switch and it turns out I have four cavities that have been there for some time. My visits were always quick, but didn't feel thorough enough. Bedside manner is important but it isn't everything. Make sure you are getting yearly x-rays and that your examination is thorough.

The dentist is the worst dentist unimaginable. She does a half crappy job on your teeth and just take your money. She did a fill in on one of my teeth and only a year later, I went to a different dentist and now I'm told that the same tooth that she worked on, now needs a root canal or tooth extraction. I confronted the dentist about her sloppy job and she could've cared less and had a very dismissive attitude. She just wants your money. Even her former dental hygienist use to complain about how rude the dentist is each time I visited (so that speaks volumes) her staff is also rude. The front desk staff employee always has an attitude each time I call. Stay away from this hell hole!
